At Holland House Day Nursery, before your child attends their first settling in session, we like to have a family meeting. The family meeting is an opportunity for you as a family to attend with your child, meet the team and sit down with your child's key person. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and share any important information, complete the all about me and make sure you are signed up to our digital learning journal platform, FAMLY. Please note that although you will meet a proposed key person, this is to help ensure a smooth transition with the child and family. However, once a child has started with us they may form a stronger relationship with a different adult and we may change the key person to better meet that child's wellbeing needs.
Following the family meeting, we will then invite you bring your child for their first taste of nursery life in the form of a 1 hour settling in session, the child will be encouraged and supported for the hour by the team of qualified and experienced practitioners.
Parents are welcome to stay close by at the local coffee shop in the cul-de-sac, Baked in Brick.
Once the family meeting and settling in sessions have been attended, it is time to start your adventure with Holland House Day Nursery. Check the FAMLY app each week for important updates, news, learning experiences and events that are upcoming. You can also use the same app to communicate with management and practitioners.
Please check our downloads and links section for information on what to bring to nursery, our dress code and what updates to expect from the practitioners.
